Halvedin3 Pretty happy to match 2010 time, considering level of fitness after injury. Aerobic base not strong enough yet and nowhere near enough interval/LT work to be able to attack the hills/recover. Good test of where I am at the moment. Unaffiliated 1:07:47 1:15:00 1:11:28 60.82
Will Crash Haven`t raced this since for a few years, ran it chilled out fadhion in 2010. My PB is 1.16.03. I`m going to try and beat that.

ktrose1981 This was nowhere near as hard as I remember it being two years ago. The time on my Garmin was 01:32:58 which gave me a pb by 2 minutes, sadly the official time came out 1 minute 30 seconds slower than this, still a pb but not by as much. I went out with the intention of using this as a training run for the marathon so I wasn't worried about my time and didn't even look at my time from two years ago. This meant I was much more relaxed and really got to enjoy the run. The weather was lovely, pretty cold first thing but a lovely bright sunny day so we had beautiful views from the top. My main aim was to run up all the hills and not walk any which I did - I just kept thinking to myself that if I could run up Bow Brickhill I could run up these. Also none of the hills seemed as hard as last time although I think I have done more hill training since then and before I did this race last time I don't think I'd even ever run up Bow Brickhill. All in all a great run, with a nice t-shirt at the end. They had also moved the finish line closer to the entrance to the field which was a nice surprise when turning into the field and seeing that the finish line wasn't far away. There was a strange queuing system at the end - after you came out of the finish funnel you joined another long,s low moving queue for water and oat bars and a t-shirt. Also there seemed to be more running on road this time - 1.5 miles at the start before we went off road and then 1.5-2 miles at the end. This wasn't too comfortable as I chose to wear trail shoes this time with all the rain we'd had. My legs were a bit tired coming down onto the road for the last mile or so but nowhere near as bad as I remember it being last time. Calories burnt - 867, average pace - 9.35 minute miles. 9.70 miles run according to my Garmin. Redway Runners, Milton Keynes Lakeside Runners 1:35:46 1:33:26 50.56
