Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

A shorter version of the Blisworth 5 miles which I ran a couple of years ago. A nice downhill start into the village then through the village and out onto the hilly country roads, winding round until just after 4k where you turn left onto the road that takes you back to the finish in the farmyard. I just couldn't get my legs to go fast enough at the end to get a decent time! I think this is still my fastest 5k time this year since having PF but I still would have liked a faster time. I did struggle a bit with my quad which I pulled earlier in the week and has been painful to walk on today. This has also hurt my left knee and I wasn't convinced that I would be able to run tonight with the pain I've been in today. I went out for a run just over a mile long from home a couple of hours before the race and it wasn't great. I stretched when I got back and covered my legs in tiger balm and that seemed to be enough to get me round, I think it might have helped warm my muscles up going out for a short run first. Gary also ran and got a pb which was great! Calories burnt - 280, average pace - 8.26 minute miles.
