Going to train hard for this one and beat my previous PB, set 8 years ago!

A good flat race and a serious PB potential. It's very very dull though with just a load of boring pavement to run up. This year there was no goody bag, not even a banana. When I finished I really needed something to eat. Got a train to Burgess Hill. Seemed the easiest thing to do in the end. I don't run for the 'goodies' but this was unusually poor!
Congestion at the start was annoying too. As they needed to accomodate two way traffic in a very narrow bit of road we were boxed in like battery hens at the start, walked over the start line and had to virtually run arm in arm for the first 2k. I got kicked in the back of the calf three times in the first 2k just for wanting to run faster than people who had lined up in the wrong place at the start.
