Pleasant race as usual but aching right calf from start to finish......and with only 16 days to Barra it's a worry!!!
Hit target, for a change - Hurrah!. Good run, one of the nicest bits of the canal, encouraging marshals, good weather again although into the wind for the return leg. No spread at the end this year but a beer in the swag bag. Managed a "speedy" finish (but couldn't quite catch my target). Achilles now totally louping, though.
2nd lady - pleased as it was my first 10K this year. Very well organised and lots of support from the marshalls. Very scenic route and mostly flat. Distance markers all along the route and my garmin measured it pretty much exact. Great value for money.
No chip time Garmin measured 6.22miles
I don't know why but I always run this race about 2 minutes slower than my sb!
Bit of a bonus, first run of any length since Balfron. Lovely weather, very well organised as usual and nothing hurts!
