Running Fish ok who ordered the chuffing wind? it was one of those runs where it seemed to be on your back for 1 or 2 miles and the rest of the time was trying to turn you inside out. still at least it wasnt a race where you're chasing times. big thanks to all the marshalls for an excellent job. felt alright until that last climb, then it was 3 parts shuffle to 3 parts stagger, with a bit of wobbly lower lip thrown in for good measure. Silver Strider Long sleeve club shirt, buff, gloves, compression socks, compression shorts, over shorts, gel belt 5 gels total, 2CNP, 2 SIS, 1 cliff double espresso, 1 jelly baby, 250ml bottle of german iso drink miles 16 to 19 ish, otherwise 3 cups of water, 1 orange squash Middle of the pack start position, slow up first hill, easy into first section. Best I have felt so far from 19 - 22. Least quad ache ever, very little walking at all. Good conditions under foot, icy cold wind at the start Mostly North Easterly and very strong all day.
