Went off too fast. Left hip felt tight all way round and knee seized up at mile 6 then felt dizzy in last couple of miles.
Houblon
Did not race injured with trapped nerve in right leg - manged a short run on this day
Little Nemo
11 min. miles?

My time, not official!

Wasn't expecting such a good race. had a sore knee for a couple of miles 6 to 8 but ran it off. half way at 35.10 so a negative split but very happy with the time.

tom_craggs
Happy with a decent solid run
mummyV
had a good race, was struggling a little around 7-9 to maintain my pace but did what i wanted to achieve so very happy!!!!!
garmin time was nearly a minute fatser - 1.16.36 so a bit gutted about that!
ancient
Hoped to get under 66 mins at one point in race but slipped last couple of miles. Reasonably happy with result
Lottie140
Was going quite well I thought and had thought I had run faster but ended up only few minutes faster than last year - probably had it in my legs to run harder over the last 1k but only speeded up when Ann came up on my shoulder as we came into the finishing straight
happyrunner1
PB!!!! Incredibly chuffed to get this time when I didn't expect to. Whatever training I managed, it worked. The day was freezing, my ipod stopped working, but it was a great race with a good atmosphere, friendly runners and was really well organised.

This year's race will take place on Sunday 16th October 2011

The Cabbage Patch 10 mile race is one of the flattest and best 10 milers in the country (Richard Nerurkar set an all time British record of 46 mins 2 secs in 1993). Starting and finishing in Twickenham the course follows a loop, crossing the river in Kingston and Richmond and as always race HQ is the Cabbage Patch pub in Twickenham.

This 10 mile race is for runners of all standards on roads and towpaths through Twickenham, Kingston and Richmond.

Each finisher will receive this year's edition of the now famous Cabbage Patch 10 long sleeved T-shirt.

    Mens Prizes:

    The first ten open finishers.

    And in these veteran categories:

    40-44 years, 45-49 years,

    50-59 years and 60+ years

    Ladies Prizes:

    The first ten open finishers.

    And in these veteran categories:

    35-39 years, 40-44 years,

    45-54 years and 55+ years

This year there will again be these cash prizes for both men and women
    £1000 for 1st, £300 for 2nd and £100 for 3rd.

There will be two open team prizes, one for men and one for ladies. They will be based on the cumulative time of the first three competitors from each club. There is no need to declare the teams.

We will be giving away two bikes at the Cabbage Patch Pub during the prize giving. To qualify to win one of these you must place your race number in the bin provided and be present in person to collect the prize.
