Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

The heat was too much but i am proud once again to complete the race for my friend Sandra, in her memory!!!
Well, what can I say? WAHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Gobi should have been here, hotter than the firey pits of hell this at about 31/32degrees, but what a FAB time!! Great atmosphere, wonderful organisation and great time. At the end of the race my soon to be 4 year old daughter came up to me and told me she was proud of me, she loved me and she was my best friend. Needless to say I cried..... This was for my mum, she is still fighting and I love her.
God it was blisteringly hot. Have run/walked this in the past, but this was the first race after finishing a proper running course c/o Dulwich Park Runners and I was determined to run it all. Just about made it.
My friend had died from Breast Cancer l ran this race in her memory , it was a really hot day, fantastic atmosphere and lots of people. l ran all the way didn't stop once and felt really strong and determined.
Got my medal but wasn't that impressed with it ( bit small and flat ) BUT hey a medal is a medal.
