ascoey Slow and ended up in hospital with heat exhaustion/dehydration despite taking fluids at every station. With my existing heart condition I just don't think I'm cut out for longer distances. Dorchester RIOT 1:49:27 2:36:36 2:15:00 2:36:36 37.92

Enaoslm Decided to run a week before and played 90 minutes of football the evening before. Still wanted to run a pb, but soon realised it was going to be tough; hilly, warm~25oC and windy. Didn't get close enough to the start so had to work my way throught the crowd for 1st mile. Tried to pick up the pace but the hills were tough and the wind was strong. Perservered but lost time in the middle. Still managed a strong finish though to make a respectible time. Pleased overall but not a pb. martian77 I hadn't been feeling well in the week up to this and had been using preventative lemsip, so I guess a pretty crap run was almost inevitable. I hadn't realised there would be that many hills! Also, the narrow start meant apparently it took me 23 minutes to reach the first mile marker - even with about 7 minutes to cross the start line that's 5 minutes slower than I'd normally run the first mile.

Ah well. Next time. Unaffiliated 2:03:20 2:48:44 2:15:00 2:48:44 38.37

Mrs. Mole Started badly and never really made the time up. Very disappointed it took me over 2 hours but it was baking and hilly (best excuse I could come up with) onward and upward! Sandhurst Joggers, Spa Striders RC 1:50:33 1:56:13 2:06:00 60.78
