About this parkrun

Flat and fast, out and back course with a loop at the far end. Along the sea-front, can be windy and normally a head wind on the way back. Definitely PB potential if not windy.
K5 Gus 8th Jan 2019

Pancake flat out and back run, but feels a bit relentless as almost inevitably wind in one of the directions. Easy parking, road shoes and remember the 9:30 start if you don't live in Scotland!
twinny 17th Mar 2019

Out and back course like a lollipop, flat, busy, but thins out quickly. Can be windy on the way back.
Ally-C 23rd Mar 2019

Flat and fast, hope for a lack of wind (unlikely)
Mr J 20th Apr 2019

Run down the handle of the frying pan, round the pan, and back up the handle. Pancake flat ;-) Nice views of the sea, and good parking nearby.

If you get a day with no wind, then hello PB! Otherwise, be prepared to struggle.

JRuss 16th Jun 2019

Regularly pulls in 600, occasionally 700 runners so this isn’t for those who like solitude. Along the promenade beside the Forth. Out and back. Very flat but exposed so can be windy. On a calm day you’ll not get a faster course Several cafe options

Course was mainly covered in light dusting of frost with couple small icey parts. Footing not 100% for push off so reasonably happy with performance. Pace was reasonably constant through the mile splits and enough in tank to push last stretch. Good base to build further from now.

PB! moving ever closer to that sub 20. Cold and a bit icy underfoot. Very enjoyable

Retrospective add. Wonder if I didn't put ones in where I thought I wasn't going for my own PB? This one looks like it was with Ken - it's the one where he overtook Betty G but I just mispaced him on his PB attemp! Adding these so my parkrun tally will tally up between Fetch and parkrun results. This is important. Ish.! :-) G

PB attempyt, by no means guaranteed but going for it

Started by taking it easy as wasnt sure of the surface. Pleased with another negative split and passing some very good runners near the end.
