This event is listed on these dates:
First 8 - 9 miles fairly flat. The rest is little hills (15 - 30mtr) with a stonker at around 20 miles!!!
This was a superb race this year. I entered with 2 months training for it!
This time round I plan to knock some time off and finish strongly as I did this year.
Ultra Kanga Kazzaaaaah!!
Happy, but hard, day. Thanks to foxsake for his company and pacing skills
Ideal conditions; lovely run; I thought I had decided on 4:20 and that was what I told people before the race; in fact I had entered 4:10 im prediction - so I've corrected this; the thinking for 4:20 was based on the estimate that this race (MT vs road, undulating vs flat), is 15-20mins slower than Abingdon (which I did in 4:00) and that as I was not going for a time but was going to take it easy, enjoy the view and listen to the legs, so longer estimate preferred. Last 2.2M a bit short I think. 4:19:39 was watch time.
Really enjoyed this race. Started off slowly and managed to keep a steady pace all the way round. Nice to get away from the traffic, lovely route, reminded me why I love to run so much.
My first marathon
