Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Caterpillar
This was the first marathon I ever ran. In 1984 I managed it in 3:49. It would be awesome to beat that, twenty seven years later. BUT... sadly it was not to be. Just been too busy to get the mileage done. Next year it could happen. I have beaten my 26 year old self, but not yet on the same course. I do love the NFM.
Goodlife
Thought I would run first few miles at a comfortable pace and to see how my times were, as I was recording all under 7 mins I decided to carry that pace on. Tactic worked well and posted a pre 3 hour time on my first marathon, well chuffed but have now set myself a high bar :)
whenim64
457 out of 751
DazzaB
Cramp last few miles - kept stopping. Last 3.2 miles took about 30.5 minutes!! Should have done more training and hamstring strengthening.
Jungliemac
I have to run a marathon for a club award and this is the one! It's at the end of a tough month of racing so I will be cruising around the course.
Naomi P
Must go sub 4:09, and ideally sub 4. Had a bad run here 2 years ago and I need to do it more justice.
Nice 21 minute course PB. I do like this race, and I think the route is better this way round.
BigChiefRunningBore
training run type event. a bit lumpy so pace hard to moderate. Pleased despite missing the sub 3:30 - but did have a wee stop.
hunterway
not looking for time as concentrating on the druid challenge.
another enjoyable run apart from really sore achilles but another sub 4
flyboydavey
New to this race, could not get up to Lake District for the Great Langdale !
Stouty
just got a late place will try and do it justice 3.45 likely and a good day under the 3.30 will see how the legs feel
graz
101st / 757. V hard towards end. Cramp last 4 miles. Pace varied 7.12 - 9.30 / mile!
