First time for this race, looking forward to a new race distance :) Hills all 6 of them!!!! last one was killer but ran all the way :)

A good gentle start to the season

Had a great run. Took it steady in the first third and then pushed on in the down and up at the end of lap 1. Kept a good pace on lap 2 to do a negative split. PB and 92 out of 449 finishers. Great support from the BRJ cyclists and spectators as usual.

Slower than last year but not bad considering I have a shoulder injury.

Cazaroo
was an awful day for me, I can do better that that in training!! Just hit a wall at about 8 miles and the rest was just awful Walked in mile 11 while I decided whether to quit or not, but found something to struggle through to the end.... and glad I did, just coz I would be really annoyed with myself now if I hadnt. Can't really blame the injury itself, but lack or training and lack of fuel yesterday I think are the culprets.
