DuaneDibbley nearly 15 mins slower than last year - a real pig of run. Not too bad up to about mile 7-8 and then got terrible stomach cramps...I don't know if it was the powerbar gels (not had them before) or the powerade zero (which I think is awful) - I just wanted to be sick for a while but it wouldn't happen. altyfc This was my 12th consecutive GNR on the trot, but I'm ashamed to say that I'd hardly trained for this one. Had done an 8-miler and two 6-milers in the build-up, all probably at around 10min/mile pace. Felt reasonably good on the day, kept a steady pace (although I had no idea of what time I was running - batteries for my Garmin weren't working!) and if anything sped up towards the end.
