Got lashed upon (rain)
Felt sick at 8 to 9 miles, may have been a reaction to sports drink. Unable to take on further nutrition or gels.
Persistent stitch in right from 15 miles.
On course for sub 3:30 until about 22 miles, hit a massive wall and started cramping up. More long runs and core work required. Also need to take on more sports drinks during the race.
I had hoped to break 3:10 but have developed an injury with a week to go so I'm not sure if I'll even be able to complete the marathon.
Yippee I did it! Just!
Ran 2 04 13 miles and hit wall at 17 miles and struggled home. Experementing more now with fuel on long runs
so feel a good Seville marathon coming up in Feb 12.
Sick at 16miles and struggled to finish. Guttted about the time but happy to finish.
Went through 5miles in 34.33 and half way in 1.29.30

Tough race...wind, rain
Was targeting sub 2:55
Was on target but had to stop with cramping in left calf twice..miles 22 and 24.
Left hammy started to cramp in last mile,,didnt stop but had to slow right down.
Still a PB tho!!
Ultimate goal is to achieve Championship qualification time of sub 2:45 for London Marathon 2012 :o)
Ran this one with a temperature and a sore throat that was so bad I had difficulty hydrating. Took several walk breaks, hence the poor time. But was very grateful that i got around the course - and kicked my bug!
