Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

This event is listed on these dates:

First Half marathon since I started running (properly), and I know that this is a challenging one (including the hill from hell, apparently). Looking forward to it as long as my forefoot injury stays at bay. Prediction based on current off road long runs and hilly course, including the hill from hell is around 1:45. However, if I come under two hours, it will be a PB!
UPDATE: Smashed PB by over 20 minutes! It must be 10 years since I did the Great North run in about two hours, with little training - just goes to show what a bit of application can do! Energy levels died a bit at about 10 miles (after the hill from hell) so feel I could go better (especially on a flat course) but thoroughly enjoyed it in that perverse masochistic way runners do. Must get myself into a club to attain the next level...
Another pb loved the race the hill from hell was the hill from hell, atmosphere was ace , will deff do it again no worrys.....
great race, well organised but tough with loads of hills
