Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Just like last year. It was hot and I struggled during the second half.
I hit half way at 22:28, managed to lose a minute and a half in the second half.
This was the most boring race I have ever done - straight roads and underpasses. Felt good mostly had a bit of a bad patch at 6k but got it back together from 7k was pleased with my time overall.

Sorry to everyone that bet on me, it was just too damn hot..... I'm well disappointed not to have gone sub 40, there will always be another race though!!!
Very Hot. Stomach muscles aching, not rested.(Spin n core in the morning)
not sure doing this 2 days after North Devon is a great idea but gonna give it ago as long as I can break 45 mins I'll be happy.

Broke the 45 mins but really had to dig.

Finished 136th - timing problems on the night gave me an official time of 44.23 !
Very disappointed that I didn't get a PB. I thought I was doing well but I guess I wasn't going as fast as I though I was!
We stayed to see the award presentation after and it seemed to drag on for ever. So much so that we missed dinner :(

DEATH OR GLORY... Will be trying for sub 40, might just manage it. UPDATE - too hot, stitch while warming up that never left
too hot
Milton Keynes 10k Race.
Wasn't sure what to expect, so just tried to do my own thing. Deliberately went to the back for the start, and took the first 10mins to find my stride. The first marker I saw was at 5k and I was at 25:30 so at that point thought I could get under 50mins or at least close. Really happy with final time.
At 5k - 25.28
At 6k - 30.15 Split - 04.47
At 7k - 35.25 Split - 05.09
At 8k - 40.11 Split - 04.45
At 9k - 44.50 Split - 04.39
At 10k - 49.17 Split - 04.26
Very hot; walked a bit waiting for Ian Jones to pass - turned out he was in front all the time
