Did a bit better than I predicted, but still disappointed as did 56.40 last year. Really struggled on canal back - it seems to go on forever and lost a couple of minutes over those 3k which really should not have happened. I don't particularly like this race actually, it's quite boring. Will no doubt end up doing it again next year though cos it's a nice t-shirt and I will want to better my time.
The race had a good atmosphere and good scenery but there was no water station on the course and a narrow bottle neck 100 yards from the finish.Great tee shirt at the end.I would do this again next year.

Found it tough! Canal path sore on knees.
Maybe 8 seconds lost on clock at start
