CottamRunner Run Preston 10k ...... Tough, hilly course - with race sandwiched between the GNR and English HM weekends. Ran reasonably hard - nothing too quick - on a warm day (eventually) .... Crowded start - no chips - took 17 secs to cross line then a fiar bit of weaving necessary. Splits: 4.37 / 4.13 / 4.14 / 4.12 / 4.22 (5k 21.38) / 4.20 / 4.21 / 4.35 / 4.48 / 4.07 (6-10k 22.11) = 43.49 (TBC). Good run with a week to go to NB Half. Whoever Congested start but got going after ~300m. For anyone that knows Avenham Park it is quite steep hillwise! Good course - I like the spectator-friendly double loop in the first 2 km. Enjoyed - next year will aim to run 5km afterwards as well Northern Veterans AC 39:58 41:07 42:00 43:00 68.51
