Ex-pat Scot Careful with the car parking. Helmsley is difficult to park - the main market square fills quickly and there's always a (friendly) warden checking tickets. The long-stay will also fill quickly on Easter Sunday morning, especially if the race is coming to town with the expected several-hundred participants. 18th overall, and my colleague Andy won it in 36' (he's a 30 min 10k-er so that gives you some idea of the difficulty of the route). It was over-distance (6.25 by my Garmin, and billed as Easingwold RC, Serpentine RC 38:07 38:10 39:00 41:23 66.20
