PB Get in!!!!!!!!
Missed my PB by 2 seconds!
Perfect race conditions today, another great Brass Monkey!
Uber hyper after I broke the 2h barrier
Fantastic race and brilliant marshalling as ever, but really, really struggled in race through illness.
Managed a pb though so very happy with that
Thought I had set off too quick, but ended up doing second half a minute faster than first !! New pb by over 15 minutes.
Cheque cashed, pb in mind assuming all goes well through the winter.
Didn`t know that was happen. PB of 4mins 36sec. Splits - 7:25, 7:19, 7:20, 7:18, 7:31, 7:39, 7:36, 7:28, 7:32, 7:46, 7:33, 7:33, 7:25, 0:54(6:24/m)
Despite longest run since mid July being 8.5 miles due to long term injury I somehow managed to finish in 1:48 and was able to speed up in the last 3 miles. To say I am shocked is an understatement. I purposely set off really steady but managed to keep going at the pace I wanted. Absolutely loved it. Hopefully I am now back on the road to full recovery.
delighted with time due to lack of training. This is definate pb race which i'l be doing again!
watch time. nice relaxed return after injury. well inside targeted time.
Ran a lot better than I had hoped. PB by 5 mins despite the weather over recent weeks. Well chuffed
Really good conditions. Loved it.
Could probably have done it slightly faster - went out steady, found a good pacer for the middle, then flaked a bit towards the end. Perfect though, and very chuffed with my new PB.
Back to the Knavesmire again - great Fetchie apres event in 'The Marcia' last Jan.
After: v. chuffed - half a minute or so off last year's time and I found strength throughout I didn't know I had
Top quality marshalling too.
Did my PB of 1.31.35 here in 2003. Just need good weather and sort out the tired legs.....
Just had my cheque cashed so guess I'm in , looking to PB this , providing nothing happens between now and January ! Apologies to whoever bet on me , i ran this with two friends that Ive not seen for a while, we never stopped talking all the way round which made for a crap time , but we enjoyed it .
Pb by 5mins!
December was a nightmare due to a spained ankle ... not sure I can get up to HM distance in 3 weeks.
[After run edit] But I did ... and a PB too. Strange.
Not an inspired run but given the hole in training caused by the recent bad weather I think I can live with it. Weather was a bit grey and damp but was ok for running in.
go for it
Nice guy Eddie
Rarararararara - new PB! I thank you!
Had a great run and felt strong all the way round and held on for a PB, well chuffed!
Pix en France
Used as a training run. Ran at a higher speed with Sarah from Valley Striders from 3-8miles but then struggled.
Not able to breath and felt quite numb!
Not a great race - totally flat.
Okay for last mile up the hill over the A64.
Overall pleased with my time though - only 1 min off my PB!
my feet hurt
Love this race :D
Princess Purple Bubbles
Got in at last minute. haven't really trained for it, but will see on the day
Felt good on the day, kept very consistent splits, so quite happy with 1st race of the season.
"Recent PB" for a half ...
trained as if it was a marathon 5 x 20 miles done. Aiming at 1:20 but will probably miss. Only just missed but still 2 mins quicker than before
Decent run and more than happy with my time. Felt I maintained a consitstent pace throughout.
hit a pohole in the road at 8 miles carried on ignoring the pain, result pb and a sprained ankle.
Brass Monkey - Stomack was feeling quiksey, before the race decided to run round with Carol.
