was going well till the last 2 miles then hurty leg but still stuck to my plan
Love this race
Splits:- 8:47, 8:41, 8:33, 7:46, 7:46, 8:19, 8:31, 8:39, 8:45, 7:52, 7:50, 9:00, 6:09 (0:75M) - Tree covered route so measured at 12.75M. Pleased - ran it better than last year. Nice
Slow, but that could be due to the 121 miles of racing in the past three weeks? I dunno, just a theory...(!)
Ran relaxed, loved it and to not race and only be 1.5mins off pb on arch tougher course felt fab;-)
A toughie - on the second lap the hills were even bigger !

A very enjoyable undulating race, lot's of 'testy' short hills, fantastic countryside, quite a hot run.
9th in my age category for what I'd call a 'steady-pace'

hilly & hot !!
Much more undulating than anticipated with a fierce hill at 6 and 12 m - and it was also very muggy. Still hopefully on track for Berlin!
Doing as a 20 miler
Picked up my marathon training this last week. Very late decision to run, even went out for a few beers and a late night before. Also ran 9 miles the day before including a 19min 5k Park Run. Not ideal preparation but just wanted to do a training run.
Ended up feeling and running really well despite the hilly course. Only 17sec slower than my pb.
2nd half quicker than first after slow start, but still a minute down on last year.
not a good day - knee really playing up however felt that the pain will (eventually!) go away but my disappointment if I gave up wouldn't so struggled through it!

188th overall, 21st lady
Gutted not to get below 1:55, but poor preparation, humid conditions, hilly terrain, one comfort break & possibly too much beer through the month of August didn't help
