hibbyni The hills! Sweet Ivan Sproule the hills!! Leave some energy in the tank for the last mile and take your own water. Great, friendly wee race, chip timed at finish but not start. Unaffiliated 1:52:16 1:52:16 1:50:00 1:57:06 49.57
dmoan71 A truly miserable day out! I did not expect so many hills, there where far too many cars on the course (especially the narrow single-track sections) and the weather was muggy and humid. Oh, and there was no chip timer mat at the start, so the chip time does not take into account the time taken to actually cross the start line.

When you think you are actually going to die, your HRM reads 189bpm and and a 3 litre diesel 4X4 is sitting right behing you refusing to pass (even though you are now running on the grass verge) you begin to think dark, murderous thoughts. These are neither healthy nor conducive to succesful distance running.

I spent so long in the red that I ended up walking up the last two climbs and so was 10 minutes outside my personal best. Definitely a half-marathon for the hard men and women! Orangegrove A C 1:43:46 1:52:13 1:55:00 2:03:05 47.97
