johntz Marathon. Tick.
Good race, with excellent marshaling and the fetch point was the dogs danglies ;-) Kept pace to 23 miles, then tied up a bit. Well happy to have got round and to have completed my first (of many I hope) marathon in a reasonable time.

Finally, (although she will never see this message) to the random woman that was walking through the underpass and decided to jog with me along the up ramp to help me along, *thank you*. Sandhurst Joggers, Southern Navigators 3:24:49 3:40:35 3:38:55 3:40:35 57.73

Mrs Jigs (Luverlylegs) I wondered if there was any room for a PB after VLM, training went well and I had thoughts of aiming for 3:23, a little closer to race day I had a rethink, decided I felt trained well enough to go for 3:21 @ 7:40 m/m which if achieved would give me a higher ranking on Power of 10, tried to set off cautiously but first few miles were a bit faster than planned, settled in nicely to my pace and managed to keep well on track, approaching mile 10 I started to get very excited at the thought of Fetchpoint coming soon, and as suspected it was Awesome! second half continued well and approaching 20 miles I was again getting very excited, when I turned the corner towards Fetchpoint I was drowned with the sounds of everyone calling me, you guys were FANTASTIC!! mile 23 and I was passed by a lady in my age category, I thought I couldn't fight back, my legs were tiring, however I gave myself a stern talking too, upped my pace and went past her, I was not going to give in that easily! Finally getting onto the path leading to the track, which seemed to go on FOREVER! I hit the track and ran as hard as I could, the clock came into view 3:20:xx I raced to the line but didn't quite manage to get there before it clicked over, finish time of 3:21:03 is pretty bang on my target and pushed me up to 3rd on the ranking, I do believe I am really 4th though as the first V55 does not appear on it for some reason. Fab day out, fab conditions, fab PBs for loads of Fetchies and FANDABULOUSO Fetchpoint for which I cannot thank you all enough! :) :) :) Unaffiliated 3:15:02 3:21:03 3:21:03 81.18
