Dvorak Really went for it. Started too fast and tailed off just a little, felt as if someone had detached my legs around 2.3 km, but last 3K very consistent despite the headwind. No sprint finish shows I had been trying hard all the way round. AHR 85% MHR 94%. Watch time. Unaffiliated 24:16 24:16 25:43 24:53 56.46
Fat Boy Found this mornings run very tough with the cold conditions and headwind over the last two kilometres. Ran well for the opening 3K (10.02) but struggled into the wind on the way back. Pleased to place 4th overall. Carnegie Harriers 15:37 16:42 17:14 79.11

keyring Great run this morning altho into the breeze coming back. Had a very close race with Gail from Carnegie and got in under 20 mins for the first time - my second pb in 3 days so well chuffed. Think the new racing shoes make quite a difference. Carnegie Harriers 19:50 19:50 19:59 72.53
Lexo Nice run today although a little on the cold side.....Thought I was on for a PB but faded badly in the last KM and missed out by 3 Seconds...maybe next time! Musselburgh & District Athletic Club 18:00 18:26 18:49 71.92

About this parkrun

Flat and fast, out and back course with a loop at the far end. Along the sea-front, can be windy and normally a head wind on the way back. Definitely PB potential if not windy.
K5 Gus 8th Jan 2019

Pancake flat out and back run, but feels a bit relentless as almost inevitably wind in one of the directions. Easy parking, road shoes and remember the 9:30 start if you don't live in Scotland!
twinny 17th Mar 2019

Out and back course like a lollipop, flat, busy, but thins out quickly. Can be windy on the way back.
Ally-C 23rd Mar 2019

Flat and fast, hope for a lack of wind (unlikely)
Mr J 20th Apr 2019

Run down the handle of the frying pan, round the pan, and back up the handle. Pancake flat ;-) Nice views of the sea, and good parking nearby.

If you get a day with no wind, then hello PB! Otherwise, be prepared to struggle.
Deinonychus 28th May 2019

Very busy, very flat. Lovely views when there's good visibility, which can be touch and go!
sparklecloud 11th Feb 2020

Decent parkrun. Looks like a lollipop.
RunningRonnie 16th Feb 2020

undulating
Janicerun 7th Mar 2020

v slight headwind on the way back this time.
HBNS 8th Mar 2024

Can be quite busy. Starts at Sliverknowes and runs along the promenade beside the Forth. Out and back. Very flat but exposed so can be windy. On a calm day you’ll not get a faster course Several cafe options but don't go to the Boardwalk Beach Club.
