About this parkrunFlat and fast, out and back course with a loop at the far end. Along the sea-front, can be windy and normally a head wind on the way back. Definitely PB potential if not windy.

Pancake flat out and back run, but feels a bit relentless as almost inevitably wind in one of the directions. Easy parking, road shoes and remember the 9:30 start if you don't live in Scotland!

Out and back course like a lollipop, flat, busy, but thins out quickly. Can be windy on the way back.

Flat and fast, hope for a lack of wind (unlikely)

Run down the handle of the frying pan, round the pan, and back up the handle. Pancake flat Nice views of the sea, and good parking nearby.

If you get a day with no wind, then hello PB! Otherwise, be prepared to struggle.

Regularly pulls in 600, occasionally 700 runners so this isn’t for those who like solitude. Along the promenade beside the Forth. Out and back. Very flat but exposed so can be windy. On a calm day you’ll not get a faster course Several cafe options

First Edinburgh Parkrun. Enjoyed it, well organised and weather just about perfect apart from a slight breeze on way back. Wee bit disappointed not to have gone under 21 but a pb all the same and can only get fitter as marathon training progresses. 50th overall not sure out of how many
Watch time was 22:10 but again forgot to turn it off as I crossed the line. Ran it with a mate who has a 13 minute 5k PB so he dragged me around a little quicker than was comfortable!
1st run post poppage I decided company would help so did Parkrun. Expected to be running over ten min mile but walking some too - body an breathing felt way better than that an ran thw whole way
