SimonF DNF. Pretty bad conditions with rain, dense cloud above about 100ft (which is most of the race excpet for the run across the valley floor at Greendale) and gales on some of the more exposed parts. Got thorugh the third checkpoint, but reached a convenient mountain pass to bale out at at the time I should have been at the 4th checkpoint. Felt very disappointed on the hour long walk back to the finish. Ran 14 miles/6000ft out of 21 miles/9000ft. Cumberland Fell Runners, Horsforth Fellandale Club 7:08:12 6:00:00 DNF
