eMpTy Really hard after last weeks run at Wokingham and the cold that has affected me for most of this week. First half was bang on target 36:40 but not even pace, second half fell apart. Just managed a PB by 8 seconds. Denmead Striders 1:10:55 1:12:08 1:14:06 65.71

Nick99 Set out to run this in 1'20 as marathon practice but felt v strong so paced a bit harder. Well organized, cold day, warmed up fine, lucky I decided to only run the 10, it starting raining as I walked to the car and the 20 milers were trudging by... :o)

Nice scenic course, and almost all flat. New Forest Runners 1:14:56 1:14:56 1:14:56 59.00
ReadingRob 47th/484 That really hurt! Not sure why it was so hard, but it may be because I hadn't recovered fully from Wokingham. Alternatively it could be that I'm a woss! Very good race though, I highly commend it and not just because it's organised by my club... Reading Roadrunners 1:01:37 1:05:08 1:03:00 1:05:08 67.17
RuthB2 Very pleased with my first ever 10 mile. Felt a bit tough around 6 - 7 miles, but picked people to overtake which seemed to work. Overcast day, rained a bit in the last 2 miles, but great race. Nice bright yellow hat in the goodie bag too! Unaffiliated 1:18:37 1:35:29 1:38:00 1:35:29 51.32

Yellow Fang It was a cold day, so I was glad we didn't have to stand around shivering for long. I am still suffering from an achilles problem, so I wasn't sure if I'd be able to complete the race. As it was, I could feel it but it wasn't too bad. My feet were so soft that I started to get blisters about six miles and I found the last three miles rather painful. I also paid for putting too much effort into the first half. The countryside was pretty. The only hassle was someone who decided to walk her horse across the road, expecting me to stop. It wasn't too hilly. Somehow it seemed to go downhill a lot. I kept expecting to find some tough hills on the way back, but there weren't any either.
