What a great race, struggled at mile 18 and needed a Power Bar and some great female running support to get home, very happy.. a PB.

not quite what I was last year due to a 17lbs increase in "stature" instead of the sleek 12st 2lbs, I am currently 13st 5lbs this morning ... however... tried 6:30's and failed, BUT proved what I wanted to that I can run for 15 mile at that pace... THEN die... so for what I wanted, really successful day... had a good ole' chinwag with Jase, nice to meet again fella and really well done, you looked superb and took 5 minutes out of me in the last 6 mile... some going as I'm awesome Was quite windy on some sections, however I'm not allowed to make adjustments anymore for wind so, a time is a time hahaha

Anyhow, like I say, wanted 6:30's for the majority of the race, kind ofgot that, but once my legs started going bigtime, knew I wasn't going to bother killing myself so slowed the effort somewhat from 15 mile and by the time I got back I was glad I did as legs were shot.

Anyhow, racing another 20 next weekend, so here's this runs stats incase anyone wants a laugh...

So, Ashby 20 for me next Sunday and will go for 6:30's once again and see how long I hold on... hopefully longer than I did this week...just looking at HR's, my max is 199, so not sure if I've ran too hard or not hard enough? Who knows...

However, have to say, everything coming along nicely and that's what matters.

paced myself well,finshed knowing i could of gone on for another 6miles,looking forwards to VLM now, did v well as i had tied legs form intercounties xc at birmingham the day before,

A PB and wierdly comfortable. The slower start paid dividends. I was actually cruising until 15 miles in. Very nice!
