Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Really enjoyed this race. Makes me feel that my training is back on track.
_andy
Pushed hard and got a shiny new PB.
Hyperboy
Training is going fanatstic so hopefully i should get my 1.34 or better would love to go sub 1.30.28 seconds cost me my sub 1.30
Dvorak
A little outside target, but well and evenly paced. Best weather I have run it in. Started with Katypie who soon zoomed off and ran the middle bit with mad4it. Saw SoaPM, _andy and HappyG as well.
SueW
Garmin time. Pleased with that after the double marathon a fortnight ago. Nowhere near pb pace tho!
Son of a Pronator Man
PB heaven :)
mad4it
Under 2 hrs would be fantastic but it's not happened yet, may be this time or this year we'll see:-)
baz p
27th place - tough course but ideal conditions. struggled in the latter part of the course..on that hill from menstrie to lornshill academy. 50 seconds off pb, please with that.
SooWoo
haven't run a half as fast for 18months so very pleased, especially as I was really treating this as just part of Brighton Marathon training so would have been happy with breaking 1hr50 (must have been the pressure of someone putting a bet on me - never had that before!!! - cheers Hyperboy!)
HappyG(rrr)
Pacing and guiding a friend. *Update. Great fun. Brilliant performance by Ken. I found it hard going, after a month of no running. But I made it! :-)G*
RunDMc
First run of more than 8 miles since Glasgow HM, so can't complain. Conditions perfect; great support all the way around and a well-organsied event as always. Felt good today but I must get some more miles in the old legs.
M16DDH(DAVIE)
Really enjoyed that. felt i pushed myself to get the time i wanted. Glad I joined the harriers, feel the times are well improving through the training.
runningbug
good run ran with John and Robert we paced John round Robert broke off at around 11 miles finished in 1:54 John ran a great race for his first run well done John !!
davie y
Just wasnt in the mood for it today. Went off at a ridiculous pace and paid the price coming in.
ian9657
worked hard, felt sick, the line between giving up and getting a PB is so thin, Glad I stuck it out and PB'd with another 70+% wava
briandarroch
My achilles was sore after only a few miles which steadily got worse especially when climbing hills. I was still on schedule for my predicited time after 10 miles but I lost a couple of mins to the finish. Hopefully being tired towards the end might partially be down to my cold which has been lingering for a month!
hillgirl
Was a really nice day for it. Although at first it looked like it may be heavy rain, it stayed mainly dry. There was also very little wind, which was good, because otherwise the long stretch along the foothills can be a real trial. The hills in this race are a real test and this was definitely hard work this morning.
gilly b
Slightly faster than last week on a tougher (more undulating) route. Would have liked to have got under 1:50 but the couple of hills after 10 miles put a stop to that! oh, and the lack of long runs ... Good race, ideal weather and lots of support - almost made it enjoyable! :-)
Mozi
Had a great run and did a PB!!
Celtic_Jester
A PB, what more can I say. Excellent running conditions on a reasonably warm day.
jumpingjen
Looking forward to trying out the revised course after a few years gap since last running this race. Hope it lives up to my memories & we don't get the snow/strong winds that we had in 2007!
keyring
Pleased to keep going as legs started really aching around Alva. Did the marathon distance on Wed and wearing racing flats today - painful lesson learned ! Pb'd tho.
Tony McGale
1st half this year without the training required so roll on Dunfermline
