Hectors House Really enjoyed despite my fears. No real pains in legs. Worked the downhills to make up for the ups (and they were ups!!). Last killer hill was hell but great downhill afterward, just like a fairground ride! Only 12 seconds off my PB which was gained on a flat course. Very happy. RFJ SPEED, over HILS....

Ryde 10 for me this morning and picked up 2 clubmates then headed for the coast and the fast cat to the IOW... then its a nice 1.5m walk to the clubhouse....

Got warmed up and ready for a sub 70, that was what I would have been happy with, esp after not really wanting to race yesterday.... but also was going to have a bit of a push... A BIT of a PUSH I said... this course is not flat by any means and posted a 67:25 last year when at a good stage of training.

1m - 6:51 the 1st of the hills D&D
2m - 6:22 settle into a pack of 4 and work hard
3m - 6:13 Easy.... down hill still with the mini pack
4m - 6:23 still working hard, catch a lady who is running all over the lace, speeding up / slowing down annoys the lass in our group.
5m - 6:49 and yes another hill towards the top the mini pack starts to split, 1 goes off, then me then the other 3 behind.
6m - 6:40 undulating patch here but catch the one that got away but not for long
7m - 6:11 Yeap - down again to sea level and the seafront 5 paces behind other lad..
8m - 6:33 working hard to stay in touch but to no avail, but have drawn in 4 other runners including a nemisis from many races.
9m - 6:58 the hardest part of the race a killer hill, at one point the garmin was saying 9mm going up, legs were jelly.... but then the turn at the top for the last long down and head for home.
10m - weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee down the big hill round the boating lake catch 3 more runners and hit the finish line......

65:07 over the moon, groin was fine, calf was fine, HAPPY Days, 3rd fastest 10m for me and a course best from last 2 years of over 2 mins, cant get better than that. a good warm down and back to the sea cat and home...

speedy rob Wasn't planning to run, but made up numbers to complete the team. Dragged myself around in a good time, but it felt like hard work, especially up the hills Andover AC 1:02:20 1:05:30 1:10:00 1:10:38 66.65
