island991 Well that was interesting! Much muddier than last year and more interesting bike leg with a little bit of winding through the trees, nothing technical though. The first run did go wrong for what i pressume was the front half of the field and we did an extra 2k roughly, which ruined my pacing a bit and left me with less in the tank for the 2nd run, but we were all in it together so i guess it was fair!! Stiggers Run 5.4k - 44:15 Bike 14k - 46:47 Run 3.6k - 22:50 That was interesting for my first duathlon! and learnt a valuable lesson that a late night (early morning!) and red wine the night before isn't the best preparation. The slopes and the squidgy surfaces certainly were energy sapping. Despite the pain, it was great fun and shall be doing more.
