Lucky to get round running!! always find this tough which is why probably keep doing it to break the mental barrier. You dont get over problems by burying your head! fight or flight!
Post race- used Chp time. Enjoyed the run better then any previous thank you to Sarah! for keeping me and her going. used Gels this time which kept my energy levels high and obviously a little fitter this year. Poistion 219th and 91st in 40+ cat.

Chip time.I've been brutalised. Paid for lack of training,starting training too late and missing LR last weekend also running with runy nise. Get the excuses in early. Great race. I was ok til mile 9 or so then lack of long runs did me. Couldnt even run up the the hill at mile 14 and had to walk again at mile 16. On the plus side, it was the furthest i've ever run.
Chip time 1:48:59 24th place. Enjoyed my run didn't push the pace to much & still felt strong at the end. Didn't really notice the hills suprisingly.

It was 3.7 miles longer!
Going to use this as a training run rather than a race and try to keep to marathon pace (8 min/mile). Might try and speed up in the last few miles though! *Rather hillier than I thought. Ended up a bit faster than target pace but managed to keep fairly constant to the end. Beautiful location and good atmosphere.*
Ran with pulled calf strapped up. Last mile and half were hard!
