Stopped to clear barbed wire of the viking way, after getting tangled in it !
It's a training run. Nothing more.
Very windy and wet conditions, this run also included 2 miles off road on very muddy surface, was very difficult to run on!
I chose to run this last minute and didn't have a very good day. I did manage to jog the whole race but never managed to break out of a very steady pace. My legs didn't have enough energy today!!
The green mile was a bit slick in road shoes - but fast course none the less. Think it may be the first time I've managed a -ve split over more than a couple of miles
Good course. Lead car stuck on viking way climb out the back of RAF base, but a quick course after about 4M.
I really enjoyed this race, the course was basically great and the marshals were brilliant. I also liked the mix of road and grass, but must mention that I tripped badly on some barbed wire on the Viking Way section and cut my knee on the wire. I had been looking forward to the Viking Way section as it sounded like a nice trail, but it was a bit of a nighmare with speeding motorbikes, deep muddy ruts, bags of rubbish, a car seat and even a whole car! Am not sure if I will do this again as I might get seriously hurt next time!
