I'll be out there marshalling somewhere near mile 6 again. Look out for the smallest Fetchpoint in the world
bugger...I had hoped all of that Hadd trg would have stood in me in better stead
A tough course and conditions were far from ideal. Think I went off too fast and struggled during that sodding hill at mile 7 (and after, too).
Well done to the Fetchies at Fetchpoint (mile 7)...you guys are tops and were a welcomed sight. Apologies for those that bet on me
Rainy all way long
Many hills and much long inclines
Tough but went without pain and happy despite the time (not under 1.50)
tough course so anything below 1.25 and i'll be happy....Tough conditions but same for all,got 1st male vet 50 bout 1/2 min off last years time.
Based on the 10M time achieved at the Dartford 10 the logical next step is to achieve a 6:50/mile pace for the 1/2 marathon. This means getting just under the 90 minutes for the distance. UPDATE Post race... Gun Time 1:31:18 and Chip 1:30:59 so a new Personal Best and in dreadful conditions that is something I am pleased with but missed my goal time as my legs were not race conditioned. Insufficient running of late and too much cycling meant I was at 1/2 way at 44:29 (i.e. on track) but 1:09:35 for 10 miles (Target 1:08:20) and the last 5k took 21:25 (only slightly off target but lost by then). Know I need to limit the cycling and run at least three times as week. Great race organisation and finished 94 overall so cannot complain. Thank you TWH.
Filthy weatherto run in but again a very well organised race. My performance on the day was OK all things considered
ran the first half 44.18, then ran the second half of the race like a muppet.....
Tough conditions, tough Hill at mile 7, enjoyable in a strange way
hi 5'd dame kelly holmes. made my day !
V. wet and windy... more like a duathlon in places!!
Very wet day!

236th out of 1,792 finishers
hideous conditions! flooded road -wind and heavy rain, but very well organised! take out those hills please!
Wicked race, one real lung busting hill, very well supported!!
I pb'd on this course too after setting my previous pb on a flat course, so feel very chuffed with myself!
Recovering from URTI
Wet / windy day.
Lovely race inspite of horrible rain and wind and flooded roads. ran a PB by 27 seconds and no blisters.
Hilly, wet, windy
Horizontal rain, high winds, but a great atmosphere. The locals lined the route from start to finish despite the weather with great support. Topped off with Dame Kelly waiting at the finish line with an encouraging hand-shake and "well done" for everyone. My favourite race so far.
Another wet race with some big puddles / streams across the road. Single lap of country roads closed to traffic. Dame Kelly Holmes starting the race and there at the finish, nice medal and tshirt
