CottamRunner First ever 10 mile race - so got a PB! Slowed 6-10k after fast start, thought stretch target of 1:15.00 had gone. Sneaked just inside with a quite pacey finish ..... subject to confirmation of official time. Splits: 1k 4.17, 2k 8.29, 3k 12.59, 4k 17.30, 5k 22.03 (3 secs ahead of GNR). 6k 26.50, 7k 31.32, 8k 36.14, 9k 41.02, 10k 45.57 (slowed in the middle 5k - done in 23.54). 10.05k 46.11, 11.05k 50.59, 11.1k 51.13, 12.1k 56.07, 13.1k 1:01.00, 14.1k 1:05.48, 15.1k 1:10.27 (10k to 15.1k in 24.30 - ok in the wind). 16.1k (10 miles) in 1hr14.45 - last 1km in 4.18 (good pace). Started in drizzle - ended in sunshine - wind against for 80% of the way - but in the last 2 miles a tail wind gave us a much needed boost!!
