won race lead from start to finish won by 30 seconds
Warm, breezy morning. Stopped before finish line. doh.
This was my first ever race last year and got a time of 38:46, trained hard since May this year and most times improved, think I can get 35 min something.

I did get 35 something (35 plus 100 secs lol) Pleased with PB and glad people won there bets.
Did this two years ago in 30.50, which was a PB at the time. Current PB for 5 miles is 29.24 but this was on a hilly, muddy course (Bury Friday 5) with a shoe lace stop in the middle. Beaten 29 mins at 5 mile point in all my 10k races this year...
Hey Jude
Good run tho forgot to set my Garmin and set off far too fast trying to keep up with Mick!
Bloody windy! Not in the race frame of mind after the borth of baby Zak!
Andy h
Marshalled car park then ran race, struggled big time, great organised race everything spot on, just wasnt a good race day for me,forgot garmin what a (t**t) should of stayed in car park :)
Should have done a bit better today, but as usual struggled against the wind, which was all the way back on the out and back course. In the end just glad to get under 30 minutes. Got a nice glass mug for first V50 anyway.
This is very soft PB, but my preparation won't have been ideal. ... And indeed it wasn't, but I achieved my target of under 45 minutes :-)
First proper race post pregnancy so just aiming to get round and enjoy it! (ish!)

way ahead of predicted time yay...
Brilliant. Hot, windy on the way back, but a 30 sec PB! With lots of cheers on te way in from Friends and Family
Thorney 5 Best race for ages a good strong run
66th from 266 finishers
