tom_craggs Either running this or Hook 6 the next day.**Update** 1st. Really glad I ran this lovely race. Organisation was fantastic and I really enjoyed my day. This was my first win. It was a tough course but I felt pretty comfortable and fresh at the end. Took the lead after the first climb and led to the finish but had a good challenge from 2nd place. Stretched the lead on the flat and downhill sections. Good turn out of runners and met some really nice people today, excellent local support. Won a nice shield, everyone got a free mug (best free running mug I have ever seen - hand made!) and a free pint. Will be back and recommend it to all, even if it means I can't successfuly defend my win... Measured the course at 11.5km Mornington Chasers, Winchester & District AC 45:15 45:15 43:00 45:15 64.59
wrinty Found the hills understandably hard, but at the top the wind proved a major obstacle to overcome and highlighted further my current lack of fitness. Still I did manage to come home as the fourth member of Avon Valley Runners to secure the Mens Team Prize. Avon Valley Runners 52:07 52:07 48:00 52:07 59.54
