garfieldhouse Great run overall. The course is very flat, but I started a little too quickly. It was a nice trip out on the roads to Yelland, with the wind behind us, so easy going. The views were amazing, but I did start to loose pace a little on the way back home to Bideford; the course runs alongside the estuary at this point and although really pretty, the wind was in my face and slowing me down.

Running through the tunnel at Instow was the strangest thing I've ever done; very surreal. But I really enjoyed the race, so well done to the organisers.

Well done also to those who bet on me, despite me warning against this! It was a very tight thing and for a lot of the return journey (until the last mile), I didn't think I would do it. But thankfully, an excellent time and I was well chuffed! Southwest Roadrunners 1:15:37 1:15:37 1:22:00 1:15:37 57.86
