Ellem Didn't think yesterday - that I'd be there today. Have a sore throat and cold, but I did. Watch said 1:01 but started it as gun went off and it certainly took a wee while to cross the start line. Garmin said 6.28 miles. Really pleased I went and ran. Lovely to meet so many Fetchies. Lexo Tough with the wind today. Not too sure about these races where you have different distances running at the same time as throws off your pacing quite badly i think . This was also evident in the results after the race with the organisers looking harrased trying to work out all the times. Was glad I didnt do the half as looked like very hard work. Nice start to the run up and down some lovely back roads made all the nicer with the Autumn leaves falling down around your ears !.Then the turn into the wind at 5.5 KM was a bit of a shock as I hadnt noticed how windy it was on the way out. Tough long slow hill too climb then down through the town to the finish battling the wind all the way. Not a fast time but was glad to have the run out at 10k as its been a while and only got passed by one runner on the second half so not too dispondent . Travelled down on the bus with the Porty runners who were all in good form with some good times on the HM. Saw Ellem (running) and Bob (photo taking) on route so expecting some nice photos later :) Musselburgh & District Athletic Club 38:57 39:33 41:35 65.89
