Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Felt pretty good. Very hot day (26 degrees) and undulating course. Still had some left in the reserve tank, enough for a sprint finish - should have upped the tempo for the last couple of miles. Disappointing that I came in outside my target time of 1:45, but close enough to encourage me to keep on trying !
Footpad
That was a flipping hot race! ran it slow with Kitty, Gymfreak and Sharon. We slowly dropped apart in the heat! Was just GF and myself at the end and I was struggling to get to the end in my slowest HM time! Oh well!

Thanks GF for staying with me to the end!
Mr. K.
Changing my name to Mr Kermit cos I ran like a muppet - Finish Time - 1.52.20 - Splits 9:34, 8:46, 8:18, 7:39, 7:40, 8:05, 8:18, 8:51, 9:01, 8:48, 7:55, 9:25, 9:16, Last bit 0:43. Did enjoyed running through the finish line & the swim afterwards.Very nice event & will do it again only cos I want to make a better job of it. Good to see SO many faces.
Waveydavey
Nice enough event, just too hot for me.
Will Crash
Very very hot but fun.
JUDGE.JonD
Ran this with Will. An enjoyable pace, but clearly needed to train beyond 10 mile as notable slow down and ran out of fuel. Hot, but a fantastic race.
gavpugh
HOT, quite hilly and decidedly unenjoyable
Wheabs
Enjoyed this race last year but not sure I'll go any faster!
trigger74
An absolute stinker, felt rubbish as early as 2 miles, miles 6-9 were hellish just couldn't get to a decent pace- lots of hills, both up and down, but not sure why I was so poor, maybe lack of running in the week and camping the week before, who knows?
RunLikeTheWind
Hot and hilly!
d0z3y
Hot and hilly but great race and well organised (although could do with an additional water stop).
TEL2
Will this be the Half that I fail to get under 2 hours? Hope not as I'm finally attempting to get my weight down from 11st 7lb. Bearbrook 10k in pathetic 55mins last week, so I've got it all to do!
Raceday. V.warm day but pleasant breeze in places. 1. 57.27 Five minutes slower than last year which is disappointing as could have run quicker and thought I was running quicker. Feeling good at finish instead of exhausted and drained even after last 200m plus on grass, so under-achieved. Well pleased with first race in Saucony Shadow 11. Hope to do better in New Forest Half but don't know if new course is faster.
Martyn Fisher
Hotter and hillier than expected. Pleased with sub-1:48. The shade while running through the trees was lovely :-)
mr guinness
looking forward to this race, as its my first half marathon for 6 months.
i believe their is a swimming at the school, should be fun afterwards, looking forward for a swim after a good race.

this was a very tough race, good hills, great marshells, the finish was in a good place and it was hot day but we runners was shaded by all the trees and that was good. had a good swim afterwards.
Alex26.2
Hot and hilly. 2 laps
ChrisW

Very hot day and the hills were fairly brutal so I've performed better! Nice course though.
terrydown
