This event is listed on these dates:
Very hot and lots of long hills, but also significant downhill sections. Kudos to those managing pbs!
Gutted to miss out on the 2hour mark, was well on track for a 1.50 time then got cramp like I've never had before in the last 3 miles or so, ended up hobbling over the finish line just over the 2 hour mark. Still a PB though
Very disappointing run! Like last year was hot and hilly but due to work commitments hadn't managed to train enough which showed on the day :o(
Very hot, and a very undulating course. Forgot chip too, so this is a watch time rather than an official time.
Poor training preparation and an even worse race plan as the start time was missed. DOH !!!!. Eventually joined the race after speaking to a marshall just after the 1 mile mark. Needless to say not happy.
Went alright despite the constant hills but got to the 9 mile mark and ran out of energy. Ended the race on 1.54 but added 10 mins for the shambles of a start.
Maybe next year
First half back out there after The London Marathon, training for Dublin in October
My race number is 1624. If it's as hot as it's been in the past, 2:30 is a real possibility.
PB PB PB PB PB PB !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought this was a good race and one i'll probably return too in the future. As for my race it was a battle to get into a decent pace early on but my splits were good throughout and I finished strongly which is always nice.
using this as a training run, so no pb potential, really good training run, took first 6 miles steady, then picked up the pace, for the rest of the race,
if not to hot might p.b,ran like a tart.
Hilly but strong downhill runs.
