Boycie Good race today - finished 4th - would have been 3rd, had I not once again made the mistake of trying to keep up with the main man BBCKiwi in the first mile! An interesting mix of fast and flat road for first mile and a half and then hilly, muddy, boggy, off-road sections, with fast downhills to compensate. Garmin made it 7.3 miles as well, so all in all not bad. Kiwi winner by a long way, but some controversy as to his route finding!!! Looking at gmap route, I can't see how he could have found a short-cut, so reckon the organizers should give him his time!!! Unaffiliated 41:18 45:53 47:02 63.81
Slipknot69 My 2nd race of the Somerset series,and the 3rd overall of the series.Was lucky enough to win this one.However did take a wrong turning on this course.However did not matter in the end.Tough course,about 40% on road the rest all off road.A few boggy bits,hoever nothing like the Brent Knol.Could just get away with wearing road shoes.Although a bit slippery in parts.Really enjoyable race,well run and a nice country atmosphere to it.l Running Forever, Trull Troggers 44:43 44:43 44:43 72.32
