MazH Fantastic day - DD did the 1.5k in 11mins, so proud of her! Arrived in good time and got into the nearest carpark, which made a real difference. Lots to do during the day, stalls, freebies, soldiers to ogle, have a picnic etc..... weather was good, warm but overcast with sunny intervals... not long to wait between kids races and the 5km... route was good, bit narrow in places but well marshalled, no doubt about directions or anything. Sneaky wee hill, not mentioned anywhere, lots of walkers on it... i did run the whole thing, albeit slowly. Medal, nice technical Tshirt, water at finish.. no goody bag. Nice break in the day before cheering on friends in the 10k. Then not to far back to carpark afterwards, shattered but happy! Definitely doing it again next year, maybe even the10k!!??
