bedlam_g Tough head wind again with the addition this week of lots of hills. Very tired obviously not recovered from Benbecula as well as I thought had, my time would have been worse if not saved by getting passed by a team mate at 8 miles who generously gave me a tow to the finish. Sneaked 5th place for final prize and also part of the winning team prize. Ironically the Heb 3 has been blown wide open (in a good way) with the front runner finishing behind me and 4th place in Stornoway finishing 2nd in 1.19. Scobos No warmup (silly!), so tight left hamstring caused a fair bit of grief...stopped to stretch it 3 times (at 2, 8 and 9 miles). Couldn't really stride out on the downhills. Happy enough to take 3rd, but could have been a couple of minutes quicker on another day. Some excellent, if bizarre prizes, and some quality scoff afterwards. Torbeg Trotter Sneaked in just under 2hrs - best I could muster after being hit by man flu in the week leading up to the race.
