Gobi Crowds could be an issue but I ran well last year. Training has been good. 2.40.25 a story of traffic, toilets a slip off a curb and a high speed fall. That aside went well. Lead from the start, toilet stop lap23(faff special and lost a lot of time) lapped the field before halfway fell over big style on lap 25. Slowed a little using the limpers running style. Fell off kerb between 30 & 36. Slowed a little using the limpers running style, all calmed down and kicked on for home. Rach jogged her 1st marathon in a rather undistressed 3.10.49 We both won :¬) ps. sat here now icing my knee, ankle and aware of sore shoulder and hip. That aside body is in a good place. Rach E An unplanned race win. Plan was a LSR whilst Gobi was racing, but ended up winning. Don't feel quite so scared of the marathon now, and plan to race one properly in about 3-4 years. Aldershot, Farnham & District AC, Team Kennet, Newbury Velo 3:10:49 3:10:49 3:10:49 70.21
