Great turn out and nice morning for my first shot at the parkrun. I did ok but didn't feel too great due to lack of warm up time and needing the loo throughout! Good first mile but thereafter couldn't pick it up. Bit disappointed as I should be getting under 18mins and have done at halfway point in recent 10k. Suppose there are a few wee hills. Good to briefly say hi to Boab (great win!), HappyG and Rossco.

Great fun as ever, but felt heavy. Must have started 10s after the "Go!" (cos of faffing!) but no excuses. Just sloow! Not a PW at least. Top fetchie chat and cake afters though! :-)G

Pleased with run, think there are a few more seconds to come on this course though. Felt in the first lap I wasn't pushing hard enough, but if you are running along side Robert Gilroy, you have to wonder if you are running too fast!!! Pleased to regain the course record, on this extended course from last time.

Ran 8 seconds slower than last time, but on the new improved longer course, so probably equates to running about the same pace or slightly faster. Another good coffee session with fellow Fetchies afterwards!

'A Great wee Race and a wonderful day for It.' I really enjoyed this tough 5K today and It showed In my performance, as I was delighted with the hard effort that I put Into It!! No PB today though that can wait till another day when I will smash the 17:00 mark for sure! I finished In 4TH place Overall today."A big congratulations to fellow fetchie Boab who won the Race In a v.fast 16:21,with my Club mate Robert Gilroy closely behind In 16:25.Tried to close on the young lad who was 3rd and It ended up only 4 Secs between us! I was very pleased with my turn of pace and Into 5th gear at just before the 2.5 miles mark approx! And esp good after climbing x3 little Inclines alreday! My first Park-Run and I enjoyed every minute of It and I will def do It again soon.Very well organised/great website for results, photos etc And It was the biggest turnout today... Met some other "Fetchies" soz tho I may have forgot ur names! A good day out.
