Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Garmin said slightly less but i am extreamly happy with this! - good starter for 10 - literally.
Girlie
I've offered to encourage/abuse/pace a mate round her first 10k, so we will be mostly having a laugh and mincing around at the back if anyone else cares to join us:-)

**UPDATE*** Excellent race, SusieQ came in just under the hr, I was just over it. Faded away at 8-9km, but enjoyed the company and race. Will definitely be aiming to pb here in the future.

Official Time 1:00:31 so pretty happy with that performance:-)
Drell
Aiming for a steady 9:30ish pace. I will have failed if I do any of the first 5 miles at faster than 9:15 :-) Pacing was beautifully even, although a bit faster than planned - 1st 6 miles all between 9:11 and 9:19. Squeezed a pb by 4 secs on the official time, which was 20 secs slower than Garmin. Result!
Pingu99
Finished 99th out of 286, Robbie was 82nd, Andrea 119th (an dfirst Lady V45 class) Adrian 236th

violet
Dreadful run - troubled by hacking cough and no energy. just glad to finish
Mark J
POST RACE: Far better than expected, I've just scraped a PB by 20 seconds, that'll do.
Marts
hoping for close to 35 mins. predicted time is dream time. would be happy with 35.45. 6th of 286 and pretty happy with 35:44:)
Woad Wunner
Er - not sure where that run came from but hey ho :)
Grump
Great racing weather. Thoroughly enjoyed myself, thank you Thorney Running Club. Paired up with a team mate and we both PB'd so it doesn't get much better.
Ricardo
Well bugger me. The sun was shining, my hip was feeling ok, and so basically I went for it. Bit annoyed at my Garmin not getting satellite in time, so didn't know what time I was doing. I thought I might have got under 43, but according to results I didn't. Damn! That would have been so cool :)
Smile2
perfect weather - great course - the road with the rubble had me thrown and slowed me down else a cracking race. Over the moon to finally get a sub 50 10k.

Thorney is a bit far out for me but the journey is so straight forward that it is worth the trip.
Alanoia
A PB but not the sub 41 I wanted, never mind - not bad considering all teh distance stuff I have been doing. Will crack it (and then sub 40) in 2010.
thorneygeoff
An excellent race with lots of great encouagement from the marshals and residents of Thorney - I love the double back sections as I could have a quick word with my daughter coming the other way!!!
