ck1 woke up on a sunny morning and fancied a PB.was on course for this until the mini bridge at 11 miles.the wind was head on and strong.never mind try again at paddock wood.shame about the drinks stations as some of the less experianced runners could probably used more fluids.however the organization improved consiberly on last year.well done to all.thx lydd. ChrisBu Good luck everyone. I'm now the proud owner of a v. nice fetch t-shirt, so keep an eye out for me (I'll be the one trailing at the back...) Post event... What happened to the water stations? I know it was a bit windy, but when I arrived at the first, there wasn't even any cups ready. Nice views running along the sea front (no water at 1/2 way mark, not too bad on the way back, but the cross wind along dungeness road was a killer (but I managed to overtake some people, so that keep the mood up). The apple in the bag at the end was well received by me (but a water station at the end would also have been nice). Anyway, considering what the weather could have been (it could have been raining as well as windy), it was a very pleasant day (and the OH + kids enjoyed the town and playground too).
