Boycie knew the hills would be tough - but this was pretty extreme! Fast downhill start didn't help - mile markers laughably inaccurate - mile 1 coming up in 4.41 if they were to be believed - actually 5.21 - still too bloody fast. Come the first big hill at 3.5, I was struggling a little (to say the least) - of course what comes up, must come down but really really steep downhills aren't actually that pleasant either - although the old legs do feel a bit better than going back up them! DrDebs I will be on week 4 of a heavy training schedule,....ooo....and i have this awful cold/virus thing.... but still hope to do well!!! :-) never done a race quite like this before......legs completed trashed - very hilly!!!
