My favourite 10k :-). Well that sucked. my aim was sub 50mins, but I wanted to pull out at 3k. I set out at 46min pace, but it was hard to keep up that pace having done no speed work and only weights!! I spent the whole race going backwards Thanks to any Fetchies who recognised me and cheered.
mit Pesto. The race for sub 60 is on...******** Good heavens, thanks Mac
Dry, but windy day. Steady pace of 8.40 up to the 6.5k mark then pushed to finish. Could have pushed more though!! Felt great, really enjoyed it an d another PB
OK, defaulted from marathons so this is my BIG race target for the year. Sub 38 for sure, yeah baby yeah! I've bought the shoes already
UPDATE: Extremely happy with that in a nice rough wind. Tried to maintain 3:45 but seemed to be stuck on 3:50s near the end. Stopped for 10 secs to check on a guy by the side of the road, turned out to have cramp, so moved on! Managed to catch up with my group though, and not overtaken throughout the race. That's it for the year I reckon - job done!
Not a pb but happy
I was runner 879 in this silliness and now I hurt.
lovely race pacing Lizzie and PM. Sorry to those who bet.
ran at threshold as a sharpener for Florence Marathon
Finishing this race in sub 48 depends on me not hitting the pier, running to the biltong hut and eating raw beef instead of actually running. Running number 1234...even I can remember that!
First formal race I've entered in 25 years and great fun Strong westerly wind and squally sea with lots of pebbles on the promenade Glad just to finish Next 10k i do i want to finish in less than 1 hour Great company - staff and students of Woodhouse college
a pb, and wasn't in greatest shape leading up to race so hope I can still run under 40mins...hopefully next year
Not my pb.
Had difficulty with old knee injury resulting in many walking intervals.
Flat course along the sea front
